Young Engineer Manoj Kumar Singh Launches Environmental Conservation Campaign in Nautan

Date: 1 June
Location: Nautan Block, Siwan, Bihar

Demonstrating his commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare, software engineer and social worker Manoj Kumar Singh launched a large-scale Environmental Conservation Campaign across Nautan Block, inspiring citizens to take collective action for a greener future.

The initiative received enthusiastic support from Murarpatti Panchayat Mukhiya Havaldar Ansari, social workers, community leaders, and local youth volunteers. Responding to Manoj Kumar Singh’s appeal on social media and through personal outreach, participants came together with banners, posters, and saplings to spread awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.

The campaign began near the Ashoka Pillar in Kurmauta Village and continued across several locations in the block. During the drive, participants planted Jamun, Peepal, Neem, and Guava trees at public institutions, including the Nautan Block Headquarters, Murarpatti Panchayat Bhawan, schools, and other community spaces.

The team also visited various villages, encouraging residents to plant at least one tree during the upcoming monsoon season and to preserve existing trees for future generations.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Kumar Singh highlighted the growing challenges of climate change and rising temperatures.

“The increasing heat, declining rainfall, and changing climate are warning signs that cannot be ignored. Large-scale deforestation and misuse of natural resources are putting our future at risk. Every citizen must contribute towards environmental conservation so that our coming generations inherit clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment.”

The campaign witnessed active participation from Mukhiya Havaldar Ansari, Nitish Maurya, Dr. B.L. Singh, Yogendra Singh, Chhotelal, Devendra, Prashant, Manish, Yugul Kishore, Munna Singh, Pintu Singh, Shrinivas Singh, Shambhu Yadav, and many other youth volunteers from the region.

Through this initiative, Manoj Kumar Singh once again reaffirmed his dedication to environmental protection, public awareness, and sustainable community development, encouraging society to work together in preserving nature for generations to come.
