Grand Kalash Yatra Marks the Beginning of Shri Shatchandi Mahayagya at Gandharpa Village

A magnificent Kalash Yatra was organized to mark the commencement of the nine-day Shri Shatchandi Mahayagya in Gandharpa Village under Khap Bankat Panchayat, Nautan Block. The event witnessed overwhelming public participation, with 5,100 women and young girls carrying sacred Kalashs on their heads while chanting devotional hymns and slogans, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere.

The procession began from the Yagya venue and passed through Vishrampur, Tiwari Tola, and nearby villages before reaching Bankul Ghat, where devotees collected holy water from the Syahi River. Accompanied by elephants, horses, traditional bands, and thousands of devotees, the procession reflected the rich cultural and religious heritage of the region.

The Mahayagya officially commenced with Vedic rituals and sacred chants under the guidance of Yagyacharya Manish Tiwari and in the presence of Parshuram Das.

As part of the celebrations, the organizers scheduled daily cultural and spiritual programs, including:

  • Ramleela: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Religious Discourses (Pravachan): 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Raasleela: 9:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight

The religious discourses were delivered by renowned spiritual speakers including Chandan Das Maharaj, Haflahari Baba Hu, Ram Avadh Shukla Maharaj, and Smt. Mandakini Mishra.

The successful organization of this grand event showcased the unity, devotion, and active participation of the local community. The Mahayagya served not only as a spiritual gathering but also as a platform for strengthening social harmony and preserving cultural traditions.

The organizing committee included prominent members such as Gorakh Nath Singh (Event Coordinator), Purushottam Gupta (Yagya Convenor), Narayan Mishra (President), Jai Prakash Singh (Vice President), Ram Pravesh Gupta (Treasurer), Mahatma Singh (Deputy Treasurer), Govind Mishra Suman (Secretary), and Chanalal Shah (Deputy Secretary), who worked collectively to ensure the peaceful and successful execution of the event.
