Manoj Kumar Singh Emphasizes the Importance of Voting During Lok Sabha Elections

Date: Lok Sabha Elections 2024
Location: Nautan Block, Siwan, Bihar

Demonstrating his commitment to democratic values and responsible citizenship, software engineer and social worker Manoj Kumar Singh traveled with his family from Delhi to his native village in Siwan solely to cast his vote during the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

On the same occasion, Agriculture Coordinator Prakash Chandra Mishra, despite suffering serious injuries in a road accident and undergoing medical treatment, arrived at the polling station in a wheelchair to exercise his constitutional right to vote. His determination became a powerful example of civic responsibility and inspired many local residents.

Speaking after casting his vote, Manoj Kumar Singh highlighted the significance of democratic participation and urged every eligible citizen to take part in the electoral process actively.

He said:

“The festival of democracy gives every citizen the opportunity to review the work of political parties and their representatives and choose leadership that can contribute to the development of the village, the state, and the nation. Voting is not only a right but also a responsibility that strengthens democracy.”

He further emphasized that citizens should continue to hold elected representatives accountable after elections and evaluate their performance based on development and public service.

Manoj Kumar Singh also noted that democracy empowers people to make informed choices and, when necessary, elect better representatives in future elections to ensure progress and good governance.

The participation of both Manoj Kumar Singh and the injured Agriculture Coordinator, Prakash Chandra Mishra, served as an inspiring reminder that every vote matters and that an active, informed electorate is the foundation of a strong and vibrant democracy.
